We aim to mobilize over 2,000 Love ABQ volunteers to serve the city of Albuquerque during Love Week, providing up to 8,000 hours of community service for projects identified by our city leaders as top priorities.
Thousands of Love ABQ volunteers from all walks of life, ethnic backgrounds, faith traditions, and political affiliations unite during Love Week. What do we have in common? It's simple: we all live, work, and play in Albuquerque and we want to love on our city.
By providing up to 8,000 hours of volunteer community service, we'll help Albuquerque save over $100,000 in wages, taxes, and benefits the city would otherwise have to pay to complete these priority projects.
Love ABQ volunteers will serve in two- to four-hour increments during Love Week by cleaning up city parks, painting over graffiti, beautifying public schools and spaces, and more. One week of service can transform our city.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
In short: everyone.
If you love Albuquerque, you are invited to serve our city during Love Week. Invite your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to volunteer. Children can serve with a parent or guardian; teens can serve with adult supervision. No ID is required. Volunteers will sign a standard liability waiver.
Love Week kicks off with the Love ABQ volunteer rally on Thursday, June 13, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Civic Plaza. Enjoy free food and live music, and get your Love ABQ volunteer T-shirt. Choose from numerous community service projects to serve on from June 15-22.
FIRST WE SERVE, THEN WE CELEBRATE.
